Haircuts and Psychotherapy

Many people find the time to get a haircut every four weeks, maybe more, maybe less, depending on the hairstyle. It's maintenance. People usually feel better, look better, and have a chance to talk to the stylist and maybe even have an ongoing relationship with the person. I do not cut hair, but I do think there is a parallel between getting a good haircut and getting some good therapy. You feel lighter when you leave, feel cared for, "cleaned up," and have a conversation about your life with someone you trust. All around, people feel better and ready to go back to facing the world.
